A chapter completed, A page turned; A life well lived, A rest well earned. Joshua, Jr. was the son of the late Joshua Nathaniel Fitchett, Sr. and Vandelia Fitchett. He grew up in Northampton County, VA. The family moved to Long Island, NY where he graduated from Roosevelt Junior Senior High School. Josh was an active member of the schools marching band. He studied at Nassau Community College. His data processing career began at Citi Bank. When that department moved to Hagerstown, Josh joined Citi Bank in Hagerstown and remained there 27 years, receiving several awards/honors. August 1, 1999, Brother Joshua, Jr. joined Zion Baptist Church. While there, he served faithfully on the Mens and Usher Ministries. Joshua was a loving, considerate, and easy-going person, always supportive of his children and family. His departure is a burden we must bear in full realization that Gods will is supreme to our greatest desires. He leaves memories to be shared by his 2 children, Ebony Hagans and husband, Derek, of NC, and Joshua N. Fitchett III and wife, Belinda, of Hagerstown; twelve grandchildren; five sisters; one brother; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and friends, Agatha Evans, Willie T. Allen, and William Carmen. Fold him, O Father, in Thine arms, And let him henceforth be, A messenger of love between Our human hearts and Thee. Prayerfully, The Family The family will receive friends at 10:00am, one hour prior to the service. Funeral Services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, 4/7/2018 at Zion Baptist Church, 61 Bethel Street, Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Rickey Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
