Josette Sue Carpegna, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was born on March 16, 1953 in Cumberland, MD to the late Charles Leroy Appel and Maryann Evans Appel.

For many years Josette enjoyed crafting ceramics and pottery as well as collecting blue birds and angels. She also enjoyed traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Carpegna, and her sister, Margie Dentler.

Josette is survived by her daughter, Beth Dattilio and her husband, Mario, her step-grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Dattilio, her sisters, Brenda Burke and her husband, Rod, Sandy Corsi, and Rhonda Swanger, her brother-in-law, Sam Carpegna, many nieces and nephews, and her furbaby, Blue.
