Josephine Theresa Geibel, 87, affectionately known as "Babe", passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. Born on June 11, 1934 in Trafford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gregory Chester Zyhowski and Josephine Mary Kozubal. Josephine graduated valedictorian from Trafford High School. She worked as an accountant before retiring. Josephine leaves behind her husband, Leon Geibel, Sr.; her children, Linda Nead (Norman), Mary Jo Staub (Paul), Teresa Linger (Ronald), and Leon Geibel, Jr. (Lois); grandchildren, Daniel Nead, Paul Staub (Lauren), Greg Staub (Nicki), Christopher Anderson (Emily), Sarah Anderson, Kimberly Anderson, Natalee Linger, Michael Ellison, and Brandon Geibel (Gabby); great-grandchildren, Claire Ann, Christopher, KateLynn, Justin, Raelynn, Logan, Michael, and Caroline. In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Zyhowski, Bartholomew Zyhowski, Frank Zyhowski, Stella Mikulewicz (Edward), Chester Zyhowski (Mildred), Louis Zyhowski (Anne), Emma Abadie (Emile), Helen Jenets (James), John Zyhowski (Dorothy), and Kathryn Kepple (Bert). The viewing will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021, from 2-4pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, June 21, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Ave, Hagerstown, MD. Interment will be held at 2pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
