Joseph Allen Wilson, 80, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home.

Born November 23, 1944, in Washington County, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Verrald Virginia (Roser) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Wilson, on November 9, 2023.

Joseph found great joy in watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and took pride in attending all of their events.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Wilson, Jr., Nichole Jones, Chandra Spriggs and husband, Frank, and Wendy Durst and husband, James; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his brother, "Sunny" Wilson; his sister, Shirley Myers; many nieces and nephews; and a special great nephew, Gene Wilson, Jr. and great-great-niece, Madison Tarmon.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Matthew Robinson will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6-8pm.
