JOSEPH NELSON STONER, 67, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home. Born October 15, 1948, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son late Luther A. Stoner, Sr. and Ileen Shaffer Stoner. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Stoner on June 30, 2009. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army He was employed with Pangborn Corp. Joe was a member of AMVETS Post 10. He is survived by four daughters, Jodie Ebersole, and Hope Ebersole both of Hagerstown, Beth Miko of PA and Dechiele Huntsberry of Martinsburg, WV; two sons, Josh Shanholtz and Joe Huntsberry both of Hagerstown; one sister, Ileen V. Stans of Hagerstown; one brother, Luther A. Stoner, Jr. of Hagerstown; twenty-six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and best friend, Marly. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Chaplain Jeff Casto will officiate. Burial will be Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport. MD. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Joint Veterans Council and Marine Corp League of Hagerstown.
