JOSEPH FRANCIS RUTKOWSKI, 83, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his home. Born, March 20, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank & Francis Kenny Rutkowski. Joseph served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Quebecor in Martinsburg, WV. Joseph was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Joseph is survived by his wife of 62 years Theresa Rutkowski, two sons, Paul Rutkowski and wife, Dee and Robert Rutkowski and wife, Debra Mullins; a daughter, Deborah Babbie; three grandchildren, Amie Spigler and husband, William, Sender Rutkowski and Juan Rutkowski; a great granddaughter, Addison Spigler and two sisters, Dorothy Barnickel and Florence Trageser. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain John Sumpter will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside military honors will be provided by Joint Veterans Council and Marine Corp. League of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, August 10, 2017. The Knights of Columbus will hold a vigil during the visitation.
