Joseph "Joe" Melvin Rager, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born July 9, 1949, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Melvin and Virginia Rager.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Elizabeth Rager.

He retired from Central Precision, Inc. He loved his dog, Teddy. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

Joe is survived by his two sons, David Rager and Glenn Rager (wife, Tammy); one daughter, Pam Rager; one granddaughter, Jessica Rager; two grandsons, Glenn Rager, Jr., and Allen Rager; one sister, Joyce Bowers; and one brother, Preston Rager.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Fiddler and Genevieve Chaney, and one brother, Terry Rager.

The funeral will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6-8pm.
