JON EDWARD MOBLEY, 39, of Maugansville, Maryland, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born July 4, 1975, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Edward M. Mobley of Boonsboro, MD and JoAnn Sweeney of Maugansville, MD. Jon was a 1993 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He lettered in North High baseball and basketball. He was employed with Office Suppliers of Hagerstown. Jon enjoyed all sports and was an avid golfer and fisherman. In addition to his parents and step-mother, Rachel Mobley; he is survived by a brother, Tod Mobley of Hagerstown, MD; two step brothers, Ernie Finniff of Hagerstown and Brian Lantz of Falling Waters, WV; maternal grandmother, Freda Sweeney of Hagerstown, MD; one aunt, Ellen DiBiase of Boonsboro; two uncles, Ron Sweeney and Chris Sweeney both of Hagerstown, MD and cousins. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. John C. Koontz, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
