John "Jack" Leonard Winters, Jr., 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024.  Born May 14, 1947, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son of the late Virginia Louise (Densmore) and John Leonard Winters, Sr.

Jack was a 1966 graduate of North Hagerstown High. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In 2010, he retired from MCI where he worked in the Metal Shop. He was also a welder at Danzer Metal Works and Maryland Ribbon. He was a member of the American Legion, Funkstown Post 222.

He is survived by his wife Connie Winters; two daughters, Jacquelyn Winters Lida and husband, David and Melissa Winters Baer and husband, Loren; two stepsons, Richard Click, Jr. and Sterling Sanders, Jr.; three grandchildren, Amanda Winters, Tina Lida, and Dalton Baer; three great grandchildren, Brycen Winters, Raiden Winters, and Olivia Dailey; and his sister, Joan Sigler and husband, Charles Sigler Sr.; nieces an nephews, Karen and David Goldstein and Ed and Danette Sigler.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by stepson, Joseph Click; great grandchild, Julyen Winters; two brothers, Raymond Winters and Lawrence "Larry" Winters.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Shawn Bushman officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Military honors provided by Joint Veterans Council and Marine Corps League of Washington County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
