JOHN HENRY THOMAS, 79, of Williamsport, Maryland, passed away November 9, 2013 at his home. Born January 15, 1934 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Gilbert Reno and Mabel Pauline Everly Thomas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Barbara Thomas, who died December 23, 1995. He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School. He retired after 30 years as a lineman with Potomac Edison. He was an avid bingo player and loved to bowl and play the lottery. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Fraley and Kimberly S. Starner; a son, Gary L. Thomas and wife Brenda; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Julie Brigham will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Memorial donations may be given on his behalf to your local fire and rescue company.
