John Benford Rankin, 67, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away September 24, 2023, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following a sudden illness.

He was born April 3, 1956, in Hagerstown, MD. A son of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Benford) Rankin.

He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. He enjoyed music, motorcycles, vehicles, N.A.S.C.A.R. and was an avid Steelers fan.

Survivors include his wife Angela Jane (Daniels) Rankin; daughter, Kayla Renee (Daniel) Anderson of Ravenswood; brothers, George, Kenneth, Bill and Bob Rankin; and granddaughter Blakely Renee Anderson.

Services were at 1 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2023, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Pastor Randy Parsons officiated. Burial with military honors was provided by the Marine Corps League in Pleasant View Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV. Visitation was at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
