Obituary

JOHN DONOVAN "JOHNNY" PRICE, 69, of Boonsboro, Maryland, died on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital. Born December 26, 1940 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Chester Allen and Nancy Elizabeth Sowers Price. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1958. He was employed as a truck driver for D. M. Bowman for twenty-seven years, retiring in 2005. Prior to that he was a farmer. Most recently he was employed by Walmart in maintenance for two years. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, and the Golden Harvesters Class. He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, E. Patricia "Patsy" Price; two daughters, Teresa Ann Mills, and husband, Randy, of Clear Spring, and Kimberly Sue Baker, and husband, Michael, of Williamsport; one son, Mark Edward Price, and wife Laura, of Fairplay; four sisters, Janice Barnhart of Sharpsburg, Joan Hendershot of Clear Spring, Celia Nunamaker of Keedysville, and Wanda Barger of Hagerstown; four brothers, Coy A. Price of Mt. Airy, Maryland, William Price of Clear Spring, Leon Price of Sharpsburg, and Terry Price of Boonsboro; twelve grandchildren, Elisa, Lindsey, and Donovan Mills; Chris, Joshua, Morgan, Zachary, Joshua C, and Dillon Baker; Scott, Brooke, and Heather Price; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Pastor James E. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bakersville, Maryland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p. m., and for your convenience the funeral home will be open to receive friends from 9 to 9 p. m. on Thursday.
