John Gerald Barger, a cherished soul known for his kind-heartedness and creative spirit, left this world on May 4th, 2024, in Hagerstown, MD.

Born on August 7th, 1967, in Bexar County, TX, John's infectious smile and generous nature touched everyone he met.

John was loved by all. He grew up in the west end of Hagerstown, where he carried with him warm memories of playing youth little league. He considered himself the "Karaoke Cowboy". His passion for cooking and bartending earned him the nickname "Chef John Juan."

John leaves behind his loving mother, Ruby (Brown) Teach; his brothers, Richard Todd Barger (Wanda) and Jerry Barger; his sister, Susie Teach; his niece, Allyson Barger; his nephew, Bryan Barger; and the cherished memories of his late father, Richard V. Barger, Jr., and stepfather, Harry Teach. John's legacy of kindness and creativity will forever be remembered and celebrated by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A viewing will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 6-8pm.
