Obituary

JOHN FRANCIS CLARK, 79, of 14 Catawba Circle, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Friday, August 03, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital. Born August 14, 1927 in Lonaconing, Maryland, he was the son of the late Leslie E. and Annie Devlin Clark. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Mason Clark in 1984. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army. He was employed with Champion Company for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion, Funkstown Post 211. He is survived by one sister, Nancy Smith of Lonaconing, Maryland; four grandchildren; and a numbeer of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Trichia Lushbaugh, and one son, John M. Clark in 1995. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. George A. Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Sunday from 1 to 3 p. m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Y-Me of the Cumberland Valley, 324 East Antietam Street #307B, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740, or St. Mary's School, 218 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
