JOHN (BUD) MARK SHEELEY, JR. was called home by the Lord on Sunday, March 29, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Born April 19, 1938 in St. James (formerly Lydia), MD, he was the son of the late John Mark Sheeley, Sr and Catherine Elizabeth Huff Sheeley. Bud served with the U.S. Navy from 1956 1961. He worked for 35 years with Terminix, and retired from J.C. Ehrlich after 15 years of service. Bud is survived by his wife, Linda Suffecool Sheeley; two daughters, Lisa Sheeley Pendleton and husband, Timothy Handy, of New Market, MD, and Lynn Sheeley and wife, Donna Creager of Fairplay, MD; one son, John Mark Sheeley, III of Hagerstown; two sisters, Betty Metz of Hagerstown, and Pat Stouffer of Waynesboro, PA; one brother, Robert Irving of Hagerstown; sister-in-law, Vivian Suffecool; two brothers-in law, Kenneth Suffecool and wife, Suzanne, and Stanley Suffecool and wife, Darlene; honorary grandchildren, Blake and Brenden Shadoan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by one grandson, Christian Philip Handy, and one brother-in-law, Thomas Suffecool. A memorial service will be held 3pm, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will be private.
