Joann McLucas, 94, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Meritus Hospital. She was born on July 23, 1931, to the late Maxine and Charles Owens.
Joann retired from Miller and Stone Law Office, where she dedicated many years of service. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she volunteered faithfully, as well as at the local senior citizen home.
Joann loved spending time with her family and friends, many of whom she enjoyed vacationing with each year. Weekly lunches with friends were among her favorite traditions. She embraced life fully - traveling, spending time with loved ones, and joyfully watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in sports.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles "Mick" Junior McLucas, who passed in 2007, her brothers, Edward Owens and wife, Irene, and William "Bub" Owens and his first wife, Carolyn Owens, and her daughter-in-law, Glenda Socks McLucas.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen McLucas; her sons, Steven McLucas and Gregory Allen McLucas and wife, Denise McLucas; her grandsons, Brian Charles McLucas and his wife, Jennifer Snow McLucas, and Joshua Tyler McLucas of Philadelphia; and her great-granddaughter, Kyla Louise McLucas who is a student at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts. She is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a special place in her heart, especially her niece Cheryl "Sis" Owens, her best friend Mary Ann Weber, and her cousin Geraldine Reid.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd in Hagerstown.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, 38 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
