Obituary

Jo Ann Litten 83, (Nan) of Hagerstown, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, MD.

Nan = Mom, GrandMother, Great GrandMother, Family, Friend.

Family, to say Family is everything to Nan would be an understatement. To the four generations of family she would graciously host, feed, entertain and welcome into her home and life she would become the stable, reliable, and dependable person to which everyone turned. This applied to her family and the many, many friends of family members.

Jo Ann was born on October 28th, 1940 in Hagerstown, MD to the late John Royer Perrott and E. Garnetta Perrott (Worthington).

She was a 1958 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. Also known as Hagerstown High School but then renamed after South Hagerstown High School students transferred to their new school. North Hagerstown High School students transferred to their new school two years later.

Jo Ann was a member of Grace United Methodist Church well over 60 years.

She is survived by:

Sister-In-Law, husband and family, Diane & George Ridge, Harrisburg, PA.

Daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Steve Young

Granddaughter and husband Cindel & Shase Hollenshead, Great grandchildren Sloane and Nolan

Granddaughter and husband Hannah & Steven Economos, Great grandsons, Adras and Anders

Son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Traci Litten

Granddaughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Matt Hamilton, Great grandsons, Calvin and Cato

Grandson Lucas Litten

In addition to her parents Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Daniel Litten Jr.

The family will greet friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740 on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, Friday, August 30, 2024 1:00 pm with Rev. Tommy Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 12-1pm. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery,1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742
