Jere "Dean" Burkett, 87, of Williamsport, MD, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.

Born May 24, 1937 in Sproul, PA, he was the son of the late Mahlon R. and Miriam (Lehman) Burket.

Dean is survived by his wife, Brenda Burkett; his daughter, Jennifer McCleaf; his son, Jason Showe; granddaughters, Leanna Showe and Hannah Showe; grandsons, Grayson McCleaf and Ben Showe; and brothers, Mahlon Lee Burket (Beverly) and Terry Burket (Brenda).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jone Lou Bowman.

The funeral will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Beverly Kipe will officiate.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6-8pm. A Broken Wand Ceremony will be held at 7pm.
