Jeffrey Scott "Scotty"
Main
Mar 27, 1971 — Jun 23, 2025
We honor and celebrate the life of Jeffrey Scott (Scotty) Main who went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 23, 2025, in Martinsburg, WV with his mother by his side. Scotty was born on March 27, 1971 in Frederick, MD. His life was characterized by his huge heart, kindness, and generosity to others, matched only by that of his mother. Scott made everyone's life who knew him better, more complete, fulfilling, rewarding, and enjoyable with his humor and practical way of thinking.
Scott was a committed father who trusted in, and placed his faith in Jesus Christ. He is survived by Gale Kidwell, his long-time girlfriend and mother of his two sons, Zachary and Cody (Ashley). Also surviving are granddaughters, Bailey and Kylie, his mother Sandy Myers and step-father Ray, brother Gary Ray Main Jr., father Gary Ray Main Sr. and wife Judy, and his dogs, Bella, Jack, and Snoopy. Scotty was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Billie Danner, and his paternal grandparents Junior and Pat Main.
Throughout his life Scotty put others first, living unselfishly and demonstrating kindness, generosity, helpfulness, and a willingness to serve others on a daily basis despite his own needs and without expecting anything in return. Scotty was a very grateful person, thankful for every kindness shown by others toward him. His love for his sons, granddaughters, and dogs, Bella, Jack, and Snoopy is legendary.
Scotty graduated from the Brunswick High School class of 1989. He was an excellent electrician who was also knowledgeable and skilled in general construction, plumbing, and landscaping work. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins, and New York Yankees and an excellent athlete, particularly baseball where he hit both left and right-handed. His children and grandchildren inherited his talents.
Graveside services and interment were held at the Knoxville Reformed Cemetery, Knoxville, MD on June 30, 2025. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations to help his family during this difficult time are greatly appreciated and can be mailed to the Jeffrey Main Family, c/o Sandy Myers, 13230 Onyx Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
