Jeffery Lynn Hovis, 56, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home. Born September 10, 1960 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Arthur and Jean Marie (Bowers) Joe. Jeffery attended South Hagerstown High School. He was an avid musician and NY Jets fan. In addition to his parents, Jeffery is survived by one son, Cole Hovis; and three brothers, Curtis Hovis, Mike Hovis, and Kevin Joe. Services will be 1pm Friday, September 23, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Dean Pryor will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
