Jean Gorman Glosser, 94, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Doey's House.
Born July 5, 1930, in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Emory Glosser, Sr. and Rhoda Jane (Gorman) Glosser.
Jean attended the Hagerstown Business College where she completed the Stenographic course of study in 1949. She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren where she was employed as the secretary for over 50 years and also served as the organist and singer. Her musical talents and spiritual devotion touched the hearts of countless individuals. Her commitment to her church family was a testament to her deep belief in service, grace, and love.
In addition, Jean was also a trailblazer in her community. She was the first female member to be inducted into the local Kiwanis Club.
In most recent years she deeply enjoyed her visits and phone calls from friends, family and neighbors.
She is survived by a nephew, Aaron Glosser, and wife, Christina, and great niece, Brianna Glosser.
Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Mary "DeeDee" Brandenburg and a brother, John Glosser, Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 13th from 3-6pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, 15 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Twyla Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
