Jason Lloyd Ritter unexpectedly and peacefully passed away in his sleep on April 10, 2022 at his home in Hampstead, MD. He was born on September 14, 1973 in Hagerstown, MD to the parents of David and the late Anita Ritter. The three (3) true loves of his life were his wife, Erica, son Alex and daughter Kathryn, in addition to their three loving pets Charlie, Oliver and Mickey. Jason spent many enjoyable hours with his family and pets. Jason was also very active with coaching sports, particularly his son's baseball. He also loved the game of golf. Jason accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young boy at the Maranatha Brethren Church. Jason will be dearly missed by all but is now present with the Lord. Jason is survived by his sister Angeline, her husband Frank Shortt and children Shae, Cobi, Zoie and Lily; his brother Jeremy and his wife Danielle and their children Evan, Lauren and Ethan. He is also survived by a great Uncle Robert Ritter of Mechanicsburg, PA; a great Aunt Joyce Phillips of Evanston, WY; Aunt and Uncle John and Cathleen Ahalt of Burkittsville, MD; Donald and Arjean Ritter of Hagerstown, Md; Harold and Joyce Myers and Phillip and Bonnie Myers of Shippensburg,PA; In-laws Richard and Teresa Kropka and nephews Owen and Jake Dunne. After graduating from Hagerstown Community College and Towson University, he was employed by National Republic Distributing for over 20 years and more recently with Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 16th at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. from 5 until 8 PM. In addition, there will be a celebration of his life on April 29, 2022, starting at 6 PM at the Harvest Baptist Church in Hagerstown, MD .
