Janice Veronica Walker, 68, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at her home.

Born January 12, 1957, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Nathaniel Beckett and Cynthia Louise Shepard.

Janice was a proud graduate of Award Beauty School. She had a successful career as a former rental manager at NextCar at the Frederick and Hagerstown locations and also contributed her skills at Caldwell Manufacturing Company in Williamsport.

A passionate NASCAR enthusiast, Janice was a dedicated fan of Jeff Gordon, and she also supported the San Francisco 49ers. She attended Ebenezer AME Church.

Janice is survived by her sister, Antoinette Gaines, and her brother, Jonathan Glen Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Patricia Smith, Denise Smith, Carla Harrell, and Victoria Smith; one brother, Clinton Beckett.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Donald Marbury will officiate.
