JANICE ELLEN HOLDEN, 79, formerly of 13910 Eden Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at NMS Healthcare of Hagerstown. Born January 23, 1932 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edgar M. Foltz, Sr. and Margaret B. Bailey Foltz. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Charles Edward Holden in September 15, 2007. She was a 1951 graduate of Hagerstown High School. Janice retired in 1997 from the Washington County Hospital after twenty-eight years of service. She was a member of Maranatha Brethren Church. She is survived by two brothers, Edgar M. Foltz, Jr. and wife, Imogene of Greencastle, Pennsylvania and Robert E. Foltz, Sr. and wife, Masako of Hagerstown; two sisters-in-laws, Vivian Wilkins and Rita Holden both of Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Holden. Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Eric Boutieller will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
