JANICE MARIE BACHTELL, 75, of 30 West Cemetery Street, Funkstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born November 12, 1930 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Grayson Walter and Naomi Ruth Bowers Warrenfeltz. She was the owner of Janice's Ceramic Shop in Funkstown, Maryland, during the 60's and 70's. She worked part time for Rosemary's Florist. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Christian Church in Dott, Pennsylvania. She was a member of the American Legion, Funkstown Post 211 Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Marlin (Bud) Bachtell; two sons, Curtis L. Bachtell, and wife, Jessica, of Hagerstown, and Bradley H. Bachtell, and wife, Svetlana, of Crofton, Maryland; one sister, Mary Catherine Whipp, and husband, James, of Funkstown, Maryland; four grandchildren, Matthew L. Bachtell, Kristen Bachtell, Tais Bachtell, and Nolan Bachtell; one great-grandson, Gabriel Bachtell; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Pastor Timothy Close will officiate. Burial will be in Funkstown Cemetery in Funkstown, Maryland.
