JANET ROSE SAMPSELL, 79, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Monday, July 25, 2005 at the home of her daughter. Born February 5, 1926 in Kam, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Irving and Beulah Lois Moser Noland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Allen (Sam) Sampsell on September 11, 2003. She retired from Ross Garments. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, the Tuesday Night Sunday School League, and the Wednesday Afternoon Seniors at Longmeadow Bowl. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Burns of Keedysville, Maryland, and Denise Powell of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mary Katherine (Kitty) Zombro of Hagerstown; two granddaughters, Nicole Twigg of Hagerstown, and Megan Fitzpatrick of Frederick, Maryland. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Allen (Sam) Sampsell, II; two sisters, Lois Sealy, and Betty Hovermale; and four brothers, Paul Irving (Bud) Noland, Charles Noland, Fred Noland, and Robert Noland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Cemetery.
