JANET JOSEPHINE RUST, 87, of Williamsport, Maryland, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Homewood at Williamsport in Williamsport, Maryland. Born February 22, 1919 in Waterford, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John C. Rust, Jr. and Myrtle Peacock Rust. She attended William and Mary College. She was employed with Fruit Grower's Association of the Railroad in Washington, D. C., retiring on February 23, 1979. She was a member of the Waterford Presbyterian Church in Waterford, Virginia. She was a life member of the Electa Chapter 2, Order of Eastern Star of D. C. She is survived by cousins, Mabel Chamblin, and Susan Chamblin, both of Hagerstown, and Gordon and Karen Chamblin of Belmont, West Virginia, and other cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home, 140 South Nursery Ave. Purcellville, Virginia. Rev. Kenneth S. Valentine will officiate. Family will receive friends at the Hall Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland on Thursday from 6 to 8 p. m. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p. m. at the Minnich Funeral Home.
