Janet Frances McColligan, born on November 21, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Evelyn Coleman Francis and Paul Patrick McColligan, passed away peacefully at her home on June 30, 2026.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and brother Tom McColligan. She is survived by her brothers, Paul McColligan and Bob McColligan, and her sisters, Betty Ann Senseney, Donna Spano, and Cynthia Medina. She also leaves behind her loving friends, caregivers, and extended family at Unified Community Connections, who were blessed to know and care for her.

Janet was known for her warm smile and joyful giggles that brightened the lives of those around her. She loved relaxing on her big, comfy couch, where she happily spent much of her time. She enjoyed listening to music and radio talk shows and would often surprise her staff by getting up to stroll through the house, visiting with her housemates. Janet appreciated life's quieter moments and always preferred to do things at her own gentle pace.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Janet's life on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Interment will take place at a later date.

Janet will be remembered for her gentle spirit, sweet smile, and the quiet joy she brought to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
