Janet Larue Harris, 89, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Born on May 8, 1933 in Washington County, MD she was the daughter of the late John and Irene Lowman.

Janet always described herself as a "farmgirl", and she found joy in planting flowers. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hagerstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Joseph Harris, two sisters, three brothers, and one grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Vaverchak of Hagerstown, MD, her sons, Roger Harris of Falling Waters, WV and Steven Harris of Hagerstown, MD, her sisters, Penelope and Sonia, her brother, William, six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no services.
