Jan Annette (Forrest) Rudisill passed away October 31, 2026, surrounded by family. Born January 9, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Peggy Forrest. She was a fighter till cancer won the battle.

She was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and received her cosmetology license from Vo-Tech in 1972. She started her work career as a beautician at GiGi's Salon. She then worked at Blaine Window, followed by 40 years in customer service at Jamison Door until retirement in 2025.

She was a member of American Legion Post 10. She built many friendships through the years, bowling, playing bingo, eating out, and going to her happy place, the beach.

She was a proud lady accomplishing many things she set her mind to. Jan was the proud mother of Wendi Beard. She was also #1 Nana to her grandson, Jevon Yarbrough. Not sure you can count on one hand a game that she missed.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Wendi Beard; her grandson, Jevon Yarbrough; granddaughter Natiaya Burnett; great-grandson, Symere Balcita; great-granddaughter, Sarai Balcita; siblings, Terry Forrest (Linda), Cheryl Stoddard (Ray), and Robin Mitchell (Jim); nieces, Jodi Pope (Tommy) and Megan Ruthvin (Joe); and nephews, Colby Forrest (Kate) and Patrick Mitchell. She is also survived by great nieces, Ella Forrest and Lena Pope, and great nephews, Kollen Ruthvin, Koltin Ruthvin, and Levi Ruthvin. She also has many cousins, their families, and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by Rick Beard and Shad Rudisill; grandparents, Charles and Nellie Eyler and Phillip and Marjorie Forrest; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 10, from 6-8pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD.

Interment will be at a later date.
