On Sunday, December 18, 2022, James Frederick Williams Jr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at Meritus Medical Center. He was 81 years old.

Born to the late James and Margaret Williams, James graduated from North Hagerstown High School, and then went to work for Danzer Metal Works. While there, he also worked as an EMS provider and had three sons, James Williams III, Timothy Williams, and Tenneyson Williams. James then went on to have a great career at Mack Trucks where at one time he was the President of the United Auto Workers Union, Local 171, in the 80's. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and No 173 AF & AM, Hancock, MD.

James met the love of his life, Edna Williams and they joined families in 1966. James was an avid hunter and woodworker in his younger days and loved to show his grandchildren how to live off the land and always had a scoop of Butter Pecan ice cream waiting for them.

In addition to his wife, Edna Williams, he is survived by his sons, James Williams III, Timothy Williams (Kim), Tennyson Williams (Lisa); stepdaughters, Cindy Buzzard (Jerry), Deidra Jordan (Danny), Sonny Hall; 14 grandchildren, James Williams IV, Aaron Williams, Katrina Mayes, Austin Williams, Devin Williams, Tennyson Williams Jr., Daniel Williams, Carolyn Williams, Tiffany Fritz, Edward Buzzard, Melody Seal, Autumn Finley, and Matthew Hall; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, June Haddock, Hilda Alderman; and a brother, John Williams.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Irene Baker, Margaret Smith, Ruth Huffman, Bernice Williams, and brother Henry Williams.
