James "Jim" Tarner, Sr.,85, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on November 6, 2024.
Born August 22, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Louise (Cosgrove) and Glen Oscar Tarner, Sr.
He attended St. Mary's School. He also served in the Army Reserves. He worked for Jamison Door Company, Four State Christian Mission, and Radio Shack. He was a former member of the Cedar Lawn Missionary Church.
He loved to listen to oldies music on the radio and do word search puzzles.
Jim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Dixie Tarner; three daughters, Sandra Conrad (husband, Patrick), Tina Smith (husband, Ricky), and Jodi Tarner, all of Hagerstown; stepson, Travis Harnish (wife, Tammy) of Chambersburg, PA; one sister, Catherine Martin (husband, Joe) of Greencastle, PA; sister-in-law, Mary Tarner of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James G. Tarner, Jr.; brother, Glen Oscar Tarner, Jr.; former spouse, Deanna Tarner; and nephew, Kevin Tarner.
There will be no services.
