James Edward "Jim" Ruberg, 69, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, at the American Cancer Society Baltimore Hope Lodge. Born May 8, 1948 in New York City, he was the son of Irving and Florence (Foster) Ruberg of Toms Rivers, NJ, who preceded him in death. Jim was a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, and spent most of his career as a pharmacist in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, and previously, of the Baltimore Colts. He was a member and past president of the Hub City Ravens Roost No. 124 and was also a faithful, long-term member of MOOT (Men of Outstanding Talent). He is survived by three brothers, George and his wife, Laurie, of Wheeling, WV, Gary and his wife, Bernice, of Rumson, NJ, and Ray of Springfield, VA.; and by his nephew John. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Will. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, with a relative, Rev. Dr. James Ferguson of Honeybrook PA officiating. The family will also receive friends on Thursday, July 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
