James Edward Renner, 76, of Greencastle, PA, passed away at Meritus Medical Center on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
Born July 24, 1944 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Raymond and Doris (Miner) Renner.
James served in the Army and the PA National Guard. He loved to vacation in Pigeon Forge where he went often. He also enjoyed going to the shooting range. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Greencastle.
James worked many places during his lifetime: Eastalcoa, Security guard at the Prime Outlets, Tri-State Armor car, Capital Asset and currently at Allied Universal. He aslo volunteered at Community Rescue.
James is survived by his daughter, Debbie Earley and husband, David; sister, Loretta Mauck and husband, Tim; brother, Gene Renner and wife, Erma; sister-in-law Shelva Renner; two grandchildren, Anthony and Shayna Earley; one great grandson, A.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Allen Renner.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD. Rev Gene Renner will officiate, and military honors will be provided by the Joint Veterans Council and Marine League of Hagerstown.
