JAMES EDGELL MILLER, 93, of 154 Artizan Street, Williamsport, MD, and formerly of Lakeland, FL, Bridgeport, Keyser and Spencer WV, died on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Williamsport Nursing Home. Born November 2, 1914 in Spencer, WV, he was the son of the late Jeff Rae and Amma Miller. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys M., and his second wife, Virginia Davis Miller. He served in the U. S. Army, and retired as a Colonel. He was a 1936 graduate of WVU Dept. of Agriculture. He was formerly employed with Texas Refinery Corporation, Fort Worth, TX as a lubricants salesman working out of Keyser. He is survived by three sons, Jeff Rae Miller of Keyser, WV, Dean Miller of Charles Town, WV, and Tim Miller of Clear Brook, VA; one sister, Julia Miller of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Headlee and June Griggs. A memorial services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Friday, January 4, 2008 at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Josephine Benton will officiate. The body was cremated at his request and burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery in Spencer, WV. There will be no viewing.
