James Lee Kershner, 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, August 15, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born November 26, 1947, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late James William and Betty Mae (Leiter) Kershner.

He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and was a veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force.

James was previously employed by Fairchild Industries and retired from Good Humor-Breyers Ice Cream Company. He was a life member of Funkstown Volunteer Fire Company and a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kershner.

James is survived by his son, James F. Kershner, and wife, Michele; two grandchildren, James F. Kershner, II and Molly J. Kershner; brother-in-law, Frederick Stephen Pepek, II; and nephew, Joey Pepek.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
