JAMES CALVIN KIRK, 78, of 351 Central Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. died on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital. Born July 27, 1928 in Luke, Maryland, he was the son of the late James and Molly Mason Kirk. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Yvonne C. Amann Kirk who died April 10, 2000. He was employed with Grove Manufacturing for 23 years, retiring in 1990. He had previously been employed with Westvaco Corp. in Luke, Maryland and with Fairchild Industries. He attended Otterbein Church in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. He is survived by a son, James R. "Jim" Kirk and wife Kay of Hagerstown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Richard Kirk. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Pastor Bill Schuitt will officiate. Burial will he at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
