JAMES EDWARD (Jim) McDONALD, 85, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center. Born January 31, 1927, in Little Cove, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Mary M. Ward McDonald. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae McDonald on July 29, 2010. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He retired from Richard-Wilbert Vault Company. He was a member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Leggett and husband, Willis of Hagerstown, MD; a son, Edward James McDonald and wife, Cindy of Hagerstown, MD; six grandchildren, Heather Dorrier, Angela McDonald, Jessica Livesay, Ryan McDonald, Todd McDonald and Lake McDonald and two great grandchildren, Aiden McDonald and Harrison Dorrier. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene L. McDonald. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, 14615 Fairview Church Road, Clear Spring, MD. The Rev. Allen Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery. Receiving of friends by the family will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
