James Anthony Forberger, 69, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. James was born on December 24, 1948 to the late George Forberger and Virginia (Scalese) Forberger. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, James Conolly, and a grandson, Brandon Bailey. He is survived by his fiance, Avis Bean, his daughters: Alberta "Lynn" Bailey and Jennifer Forberger, his son, James Barton Forberger and his fiance, Lisa Miles, four grandchildren: Natasha Bailey, Amanda Mallery, Rachael Mallery, and Christina Rickett, and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Evelyn Lewis, Jackie Pollard, and Brenda Haynes and her husband, Jeffrey, his brother, John "Michael" Forberger, many nieces and nephews, and his life-long best friend, Charles McVicker. James was a huge New York Giants fan and loved spending time with his family. He had a true love for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone around him. James family would like to express gratitude to the John R. Marsh Cancer Center in Hagerstown as well as Hospice of Washington County. Family and friends are welcomed for a memorial gathering to celebrate James life on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown. Memorial donations may be made in James honor to a charity of ones choice.
