Jacob Allen Long, affectionately known as “Jake,” passed away tragically on June 25, 2026, at the age of 34. Born on July 24, 1991, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Mark Allen Long and Alisa Mae Walker (Slick).
Jake was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School, class of 2009, after attending Williamsport schools for most of his childhood. He went on to build a career as an electrician. He also had a passion for car restoration, working at PsychoBilly Customs by Dave.
From an early age, Jake embraced life with enthusiasm. As a child, he could often be found playing with Matchbox cars, playing bass guitar in a band, or on the football field. As an adult, he continued to live life to the fullest, finding freedom and joy riding his Harley.
Jake will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, his quick wit and giving the best bear hugs. He had a way of making people laugh, lifting spirits and making those around him feel welcomed.
Jake is survived by a sister, Brittany Long; brothers, Tyler Long and Jesse Walker; maternal grandparents, Don and Stephanie Slick & Donna Shelleman Slick; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Along with his beloved parents, Jake was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Allen Long and Nancy LaMuth (Bostian) and another grandfather he affectionately called Pappy Dick (Marshall Rowland).
Though Jake’s time here was cut far too short, his adventurous spirit, laughter and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Williamsport Red Men Lodge, 16129 Lappans Rd. #4049, Williamsport, MD.
