Obituary

JACK MILFORD TRITSCH, 87, of Hagerstown, died on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Williamsport Retirement Village. Born November 21, 1921in Hagerstown, MD. he was the son of the late Russell Franklin Tritsch and Mary Eclista Garrot Peters. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He retired from Fairchild Aircraft after 44 years. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Funkstown, Post #211; BPOE Lodge #378; Moose Lodge #2435; Legion of the Moose #218; Fraternal Order of the Eagles #694; Williamsport Red Men, Conococheague Tribe #84; and South Mountain Rod and Gun Club; Washington County Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Lois Jane Williams Tritsch; two daughters, Ann L. (Cindy) Moats of Martinsburg, WV, and Karen L. Sandidge of Grayson, GA; four sons, R. Michael Tritsch of Newnan, GA, Les M. Tritsch of Williamsport, MD, Kenneth M. Tritsch of Sturgis, SD; and Thomas M. Tritsch of Hagerstown; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-father, James Peters, and a sister, Eileen Shockey. Funeral services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Friday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Darrell Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. with an Elks memorial service starting at 7p.m. Donations may be sent to Williamsport Retirement Village, 154 N. Artizan St., Williamsport, MD 21795.
