Jack Russell Mummert, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Doey's House. He was born on July 1, 1931 in Greencastle, PA to the late Luther Mummert and Lelia Fortney Mummert.

Jack served as an infantry sergeant in the Korean War, where he spent eight and a half months working as a road and bridge building engineer. Jack was a devoted family man, accomplished duckpin bowler, and he enjoyed recreational golf – with three hole-in-ones during his lifetime.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Sensenbaugh, his sisters, Flo Viar, Charlotte Wishard, Leona Lesage, and Judy Mummert, and his brother, Lloyd Mummert.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Jean Mummert, his sons, Gerald "Jerry" Mummert and his wife, Debra "Debbie" Mummert and Jeffrey "Jeff" Mummert and his wife, Sally Mummert, his grandchildren, Amy Pagan, Jennifer Wright, Michelle Rand, and Scott Mummert, and his great-grandchildren, Mariah Pagan, Ethan Pagan, Lakin Wright, Caroline Rand, Clayton Rand, and Joe Mummert.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at Meritus Medical Center and Doey's House for their expert care.

Per Jack's wishes, his body was donated to science and there will be no services at this time.
