JACK BEACHLEY KIMMEL, 76, of 935 Guilford Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home. Born July 30, 1932 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles and Nomia Alexandra Kimmel. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was employed with Lynn Fabricators for 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Raffal "Rae" Kimmel, step-daughter, Dolly Woodcock, two step-sons, Harlan Dill and Ronald Dill, all of Hagerstown; two sisters, June Smith of Woodbridge, Virginia and Janet Norford of Chambersburg, Pa.; two brothers, Bob Kimmel and Charles Kimmel, both of Hagerstown; 7 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one step great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Cunningham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Dean Pryor will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Military honors will be conducted at the gravesite by Washington County AMVETS, Post #10.
