Jack Weaver Coffelt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Doey's House, following a battle with cancer. Jack was the only child born to Floyd and Elizabeth Coffelt. Born on May 20, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD. Jack was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School in 1957. After graduating, he studied Radiologic Technology at Baltimore City Hospital. He worked as an X-ray Technician at Washington County Hospital for 57 years. He served in the Army Reserves during 1960-1965. He was a fireman at South Hagerstown Fire Company for over 60 years. He also volunteered for Civil Defense of Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Etta Coffelt, of 64 years; daughter, Traci L. Davis (Edward); granddaughter, Jaimee L. Schrimsher (Joshua); grandsons, Travis Jay Starliper (Megan) and Lynn M. Lowman; great-grandchildren, Kolton Lowman, Rory Schrimsher, Stella Schrimsher, Ian Starliper, and Eliza Starliper; and son-in-law, John Bell. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Jo Bell. He will be missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Salem Reformed Church, 13182 Salem Church Rd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Eric Cox officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 6-8pm.
