IRENE GLORIA PEREIRA, 84, of 10114 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland, and formerly of 3112 Harbor Drive, St. Augustine, Florida, died on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the Somerford Place assisted living facility in Hagerstown, Born April 2, 1922 in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Hormidas and Gloria Moreau Jolivet. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Frank James Pereira. She was last employed by Kanthal Corporation in Bethel, Connecticut. She attended the Evangel Baptist Church in Hagerstown. She is survived by one son, Frank James Pereira, Jr. of Hagerstown; one sister, Loretta Synnott of Palm Harbor, Florida; three brothers, Clarence Jolivet and Norman Jolivet, both of Somerset, Massachusetts, and Leo Jolivet of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Marchand. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the Evangel Baptist Church. Pastor Ronald K. Faith will officiate. Along with her husband, burial will be at a later date in Bedell Cemetery, Fleischmann, New York. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Evangel Baptist Church, 17922 Broadfording Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
