Irene Minnie Howard, 87, of Maugansville, MD, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Charlotte's Home.  Born September 24, 1935 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Snavely Koontz and Pearl Koontz Ridenour.

She worked at Sam's Club in the Bakery Department. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church, Red Feathers of Williamsport, and a life member of Women of the Moose 2000.

Irene is survived by one sister, Pearl E. Simpson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and three God children, Mandee York, Danica Trovinger, and Duane Trovinger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Howard (March 23, 2009); stepfather, Albert E. Ridenour; two sisters, Ruth E. Eavey and Anna Thomas; three brothers, Edward Koontz, Harry S. Koontz II, and Norman Koontz.

The graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, October 2, 2023 with Pastor Matthew Shoemaker officiating at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 127 Britner Avenue, Williamsport, MD.
