HOWARD EDWARD "SMITTY" SMITH, 75, of 14324 Daley Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, November 13, 2004 at the home of his daughter's. Born August 22, 1929 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard F. and Emma E. Feigley Smith. He was preceded in death by him wife, Shirley Jane Smith, October 7, 2004. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army, 82nd Airborne... He was employed with Craig Paving for thirty-five years. He was a member of the Manor Church of the Brethren. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Golden of Boonsboro, Maryland and Debbie Jenkins of Falling Waters, West Virginia; three sons, Gerald Davis, Jr of Hagerstown, Maryland, Roger Davis, Sr. of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia and William Davis of Falling Waters, West Virginia; one sister, Sandra Sprecher of Williamsport, Maryland; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five grandchildren. Services will be at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Joy E. Zepp will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p. m.
