Howard "Lucky" Elmer Rice, 80, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at his home. Born February 3, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Rice and Margaret Moats. Lucky is survived by his wife, Bonnie M. Rice; daughter, Linda Dodson and husband, Erin, of Hagerstown; three sons, Timothy Rice and wife, Sheila, of Boonsboro, Earl Rice and wife, Cindy, of Hagerstown, and Scott Rice and wife, Nina, of Funkstown; two sisters, Loretta Purdham and Wanda Boyer; two sisters-in-law, Patty Price and Betty Whittington; brother-in-law, Robert Johnston; eight grandchildren, Brenda, Daniel, Amy, Sarah, Jesse, Kyle, Tyler, and Abbie; 10 great-grandchildren, Kevin, Trude, Lorelai, Levi, Lillian, Nolan, Wesley, Morgan, Anthony, and Kaya; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 4pm on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Reverend Robert Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
