Howard W. "Bill" McIntosh, of Hagerstown, MD, also known as "Mac", died on January 9th, 2024 after a brief illness. He was 78.

He is survived by his longtime partner and companion, Shirley Ketrow.

Mac's legacy of kindness, his slow, gentle spirit, and his bottomless knowledge of American History will long be remembered in his local community and the multi-state reenacting community which he loved. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
