Hortencia "Tencha" Cordova Rawls, 88, of Colleyville, TX, passed away at Heartland Health Care Center in Bedford, TX, August 27, 2016. Tencha was born in Marathon, TX on January 11, 1928. Tencha is predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Stanley Rawls, her parents Ladislaus and Delfina Monclova Cordova, her sister, Lucy Drennon, her brother, Juan Cordova, and her nephews, Rick Baird and Eddie Gearhart. Tencha is survived by her sister, Grace Baird, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their thanks to Gwen Johnson who served as Tencha's loving caregiver for two years prior to her death. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the ALS Association (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
